Testing

Mould testing: the product is checked

In this fourth and final production stage, the finished product is tested. The testing involves the mould being subjected to a series of tests, in which any changes that need to be made will emerge.

The mould is then further checked and measured. The company is equipped with a metrology lab, which houses the primary instruments used to control internal calibres. Furthermore, to meet the calibration requests of our customers, the company is equipped with an MG management software, which tracks the instruments present in the company and monitors the measuring instruments of the customers, so as to be able to issue a calibration certificate. Some primary instruments are the following:

  • Ceramic slip gauges, used for measuring comparators and other measuring instruments;
  • weight sets, which can measure weights from 0.7g to 10kg;
  • interferometric lenses, used for the calibration of polariscopes, and
  • an expansion gauge.

Finally, the resulting mould is delivered to the customer who will decide on its final approval.
